SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Would you really like to grow as a Christian, yet you keep stumbling, tripping, falling over yourself and sin?  This may be a very critical intersection in your life right now.  Take the time and pause to speak with your Savior and Lord.  Then do something really scary - listen to what he has to say to you.  Don't listen to whispers; listen to the direct Word of Scripture.  Pray this short prayer and them listen to His Word.  It still applies to you today.  Your great God knows you by name!  Be encouraged.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, there is no more powerful prayer that I can pray than to pray the word of God directly from the pages of the Bible. That is what I would like to attempt right now as I pray for my own spiritual growth.  You know the issues in my life better than I do Lord.  I pray that as Your word says I will take heed to myself and keep myself in accordance with Your word.  Lord, help me to be that victorious Christian that I long to be.  Help me to claim victories in the valleys of sin where I have only known defeat.  Thank You for honoring Your words that I pray to You now. Amen.

God, in accordance with Your Word ...

I pray that I will beware, lest there be in me an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God. I pray that I will exhort myself daily, while it is called "Today," lest I be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

HEBREWS 3:12-13

I pray that I do not forget You, the LORD my God, by not keeping Your commandments, Your judgments, and Your statutes which you command me today. I pray that I shall remember the LORD my God, for it is You who gives me the power to get wealth.

DEUTERONOMY 8:11,18

I pray that I have not forgotten the name of my God, or stretched out my hands to a foreign god. Would You, God, not search this out? For You know the secrets of the heart.

PSALM 44:20-21

I pray, God, that I will be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found my works perfect before You.

REVELATION 3:2

I pray that I will take heed to myself and diligently keep myself, lest I forget the things my eyes have seen, and lest they depart from my heart all the days of my life.

DEUTERONOMY 4:9

I pray, God, that I return to You, and You will return to me.

MALACHI 3:7

I pray that I will look diligently lest I fall short of Your grace, God, and lest any root of bitterness spring up causing trouble, and by this I become defiled.

HEBREWS 12:15

I pray that after I have escaped the pollutions of the world through the

knowledge of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, that I not become entangled in them and overcome.
