DISCOURAGED?

Perhaps you are discouraged at this very moment.  That's OK.  You're just being very honest with yourself and honesty is good.  God often meets us in places of honesty.  Our ears seem to listen better when we arrive at a place of honesty.  Take some time now and pray the following prayer.  Then sit back, read God's Words and listen with all your heart.  God's Holy Spirit, His Word and you are all it takes to change a life.  Begin with prayer.

Prayer: O God, you know my pain.  Please help me.  I would like to ask You right now to remove from me any discouragement that I may be feeling at this time in my life. Teach me what Your Word means when it says to wait on You and to be of good courage. Thank You. Amen.

God, in accordance with Your Word ...

I pray that I will wait on You, LORD; that I will be of good courage and that You shall strengthen my heart.                                                                  

 PSALM 27:14

I pray that I shall obtain joy and gladness and that sorrow and sighing shall flee away.           

ISAIAH 51:11

I pray that I will not cast away my confidence, which has great reward. For I have need of endurance, so that after I have done Your will. God, I may receive the promise.                         

HEBREWS 10:35-36

I pray that I am confident of this very thing, that You, God, who have begun a good work in me will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.                                          

PHILIPPIANS 1:6

I pray that I do not grow weary while doing good, for in due season I shall reap if I do not lose heart.

GALATIANS 6:9

I pray that I will greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, I may be grieved by various trials. I pray that the genuineness of my faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen, I love. Though now I do not see Him, yet believing, I rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of my faith - the salvation of my soul.

PSALM 138:7

I pray that I will not let my heart be troubled. That because I believe in You, God, I also believe in Jesus.

JOHN 14:1

I pray that I will always understand and believe Your promise, Jesus, that Your peace You left with me and that Your peace You gave to me; and that not as the world gives did You give it to me. Let not my heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.                                          

JOHN 14:27

I pray that while I am hard pressed on every side, I am not crushed; I am perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed-always carrying about in my body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in my body.
